Meet the Doctor

Dr. Michael O. Bambico was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii.  Dr. Bambico moved to Washington state to attend college at the University of Puget Sound.  He received a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Business Administration.  He worked for a major corporation for three years before he decided to pursue his childhood dream, dentistry.  He attended the University of California San Francisco Dental School.  He met his wife, Mary A. Marshall, in dental school.  They both graduated from UCSF Dental School in 1987.  Dr. Bambico received the Operative Dentistry Award.  After graduation, Dr. Bambico followed his wife to Texas to support her military career.  After passing the Texas State Board, he volunteered at the University of Texas, San Antonio Dental School Prosthodontic Department. Colleagues invited him to join their practices at Carillion Hills Dental Center.  But, his heart was set on returning to California.  He contacted his former dental school instructor, Dr. Irving Belfield, and inquired about an associateship.  He and his wife, Dr. Marshall, were extremely fortunate to acquire  Dr. Belfield's well established and high quality general dentistry practice in 1988.  After ten years, Dr. Bambico moved the practice to its present location.

Dr. Marshall was forced into an early retirement in 1993 due to bilateral carpal tunnel syndrome.  Surgery did not correct the problem.

He has coached basketball at various levels, including AAU.  He likes anything Art Deco, Art Noveau, and Frank Lloyd Wright.  These were the inspirations for his office design and logo. He is an avid supporter of the Tiny House Movement and has converted a Sprinter van into quite a functional and versatile mobile home. He travels and golfs along the West Coast and hopes to slowly venture and discover more of the United States.

Dr. Bambico is a member of the Santa Clara Dental Society, California Dental Association and the American Dental Association.
